Adnan Menderes University has been a leading university in Aydin, Turkey, for over 30 years. It hosts tens of thousands of students in the disciplines of medicine, physiotherapy, medical imaging and vocational studies. Its hospital site, the Adnan Menderes University Hospital, has a capacity of 725 beds and 15 operating rooms, all requiring different security approaches and presenting unique challenges in managing access and securing equipment.
Proven reliability
The University Hospital’s security leadership team needed to install a new, modern surveillance system. System integrator Proves Bilgi Teknolojileri San ve Tic. A.Ş, had previously provided Hanwha Vision network video recorders (NVRs) to the university hospital and was impressed with the performance and reliability of the devices. Now, a total of 300 QNO-6012R cameras have been installed across the Adnan Menderes University Hospital to support quicker response times and improve situational awareness.
Proactive monitoring with motion detection
The Q series bullet camera provides clear images day and night with an infrared viewable length of 20 metres, while a Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) balances scenes with contrasting lighting. Furthermore, operators can view clear images of exposed areas with the camera’s wide 114° horizontal viewing angle.
It is a robust product with IP66 and IK10 certifications, alongside tampering and defocus detection, instantly alerting operators to potential tampering or video defocus, ensuring reliable 24/7 surveillance in harsh weather conditions. Additionally, motion detection features alert the team to possible events that may require investigation, optimising site security and patient and staff safety.
