The Denizli Pamukkale Municipality is recognised for its mineral-rich thermal waters and neighbours Hierapolis, an ancient Roman spa city founded around 190 B.C. The local government in Pamukkale needed a new surveillance system for its headquarters to help with continuous monitoring of the building and surrounding areas.

Protecting the Pamukkale headquarters

Hanwha Vision devices were chosen by the system integrator, Proves Bilgi Teknolojileri San ve Tic. A.Ş, due to their high performance, reliability and cost-effectiveness. Across the government headquarters, 150 cameras were installed along with three PRN-4011 network video recorders (NVRs).

The QNO-7012R 4MP IR bullet camera provides the security team with clear images, day and night, to protect the perimeter and assets of the government site. The camera is ideal for deployment in exposed areas where there’s a possibility of harsh weather or vandalism, as the camera has an IP66 and IK10-rated casing.

For optimum situational awareness, motion detection alerts can be issued for any movement of interest, plus tampering and defocus detection ensure video streams remain free from potential vandalism or fogging. Virtual line-crossing detection can be set up to alert operators of potential trespassing in defined areas.

A fixed lens with a 108° horizontal viewing angle and Hallway View give operators comprehensive coverage of key areas surrounding the headquarters for enhanced security. The Q series camera includes 20 metre infrared (IR) illumination for clear imaging, even at night, and Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) that provides clearly contrasted images in bright conditions. Furthermore, the security team can monitor video footage remotely, allowing them 24/7 monitoring capabilities.

Serdar Karasu, Chairman of Proves Bilgi Teknolojileri San ve Tic. A.Ş explains why Hanwha Vision cameras were chosen: “Hanwha Vision was a natural choice as its cameras combine proven reliability and robustness for outdoor settings with cost-effectiveness. The cameras and NVRs have already enhanced security across the Denizli Pamukkale Municipality headquarters.”
