Dalmec is a leading company in the design and production of industrial manipulators, with over 60,000 installations worldwide. Its headquarters is located in Cles, in Trentino, Italy, and extends over 25,000 square meters, of which over 14,000 are covered. The company is known for the vertical integration of its operations, managing all stages of production internally, from design to testing.

The Need for Security

Dalmec needed a surveillance system to ensure the protection of its facilities, particularly the external areas and access points. The goal was to use the system both as a deterrent against theft and intrusions, and as a tool for event search, monitoring the access of people and vehicles. The system had to be scalable and easily integrable, so as to be able to grow with the company without the need to redesign the entire system.

The Solution Proposed by Hanwha Vision

Hi-Tech Group, a system integrator specializing in advanced security technology solutions, chose Hanwha Vision as the ideal partner for Dalmec, thanks to the quality and reliability of the proposed surveillance solutions.

The consultancy of Hi-Tech Group allowed to identify the most suitable cameras, including models with AI and ANPR (Automatic Number Plate Recognition), creating a scalable system that met the immediate and future needs of the company. The project, started in 2017, was developed in stages to minimize the impact on business operations.

The Surveillance System

The surveillance system for Dalmec’s main headquarters involved the integration of existing cameras with new Hanwha Vision cameras. The analogue cameras were connected to a hybrid video recorder, while the IP cameras were replaced with new models. Key was the installation of ANPR cameras for monitoring access points, capable of automatically reading vehicle licence plates and sending the data to the 32-channel NVR.

In the remote location, a new system with 22 Hanwha IP cameras was installed, also connected to a 32-channel NVR.

The system was managed through the Wisenet SSM software, which allows the monitoring of video streams from a single interface, simplifying information management and improving operational efficiency.

Installation in Several Phases

The implementation project was divided into stages to minimize the impact on Dalmec’s daily operations. Each phase was planned to ensure a smooth transition from old systems to new ones, always maintaining a high level of security. The collaboration between the teams of Hanwha Vision Europe, Hi-Tech Group and Dalmec was crucial for the success of the project.

The Results Achieved

Thanks to the adoption of Hanwha Vision solutions, Dalmec achieved concrete results:

• A remote location completely protected by an integrated surveillance system.

• The centralization of the system through the SSM 2.10 software has simplified the work of the security staff, who can monitor both locations from a single station, offering significant advantages in forensic search, allowing quick and accurate searches on large volumes of video

• Scalability of the system, which allows Dalmec to expand the surveillance network in the future without having to redesign the infrastructure.
