Albi Automobile Circuit: Hanwha Vision cameras to manage emergency situations 

The Albi Circuit is an iconic place for motor sports enthusiasts, it is located in Albi in the Tarn region of France. Inaugurated in 1962, this circuit is one of the oldest in France and hosts various national and international competitions.

The challenge: Ensuring the safety of the site and the entire length of the track  

During sporting events, it is necessary for race directors to be able to observe any area of the circuit along the 3551 meters of track from the control centre at any time. Real-time race monitoring allows for quick response and intervention in the event of incidents, ensuring better management of emergency situations.

The solution: Fixed cameras and 360° PTZ cameras  

In addition to the fixed cameras installed around the main building to protect its surroundings and accesses, the circuit track is marked out with eight 360° PTZ cameras with powerful optical zooms (x32) and a high-definition image. The distances required the implementation of analogue cameras model HCP-6320HA from the brand HANWHA VISION with HD transmission technology on coaxial cable.

“While maintaining the existing cabling infrastructure, operational efficiency is guaranteed thanks to the quality of the HD images, and the system can now evolve towards the most modern fibre optic transmission technologies” according to Eric Mouly from the company APP81 who is in charge of system maintenance.
