What is SOC 2?

SOC 2 is a globally recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). It serves as an objective, third-party validation of a company’s internal controls, moving beyond self-proclaimed security claims to provide a transparent benchmark for data protection.

The attestation is divided into two levels. SOC 2 Type 1 evaluates the design and implementation of security controls at a specific point in time. Type 2 assesses the operational effectiveness of those controls over an extended period. By attaining the SOC 2 Type 1 attestation, Hanwha Vision ensures that its cloud architecture aligns with the stringent criteria for security, availability, and confidentiality.

Building on this foundational success, we are now actively working toward attaining the SOC 2 Type 2 attestation within the year.
