Chiarman Kim Seung-yeon of Hanwha Group visited Vietnam in December since his last visit 7 years ago in 2011. His visit was to celebrate the completion of a new factory for Hanwha Aerospace, an affiliate in charge of building aircraft engines, and to look around the Hanwha Techwin’s manufacturing subsidiary in the area. <\/div>\n
On December 7th, Chairman Kim observed Hanwha Techwin’s manufacturing plant which located in Bac Ninh province, situated in the northeast side of Hanoi, and paid close attention to the briefing on the current business status. <\/div>\n
Built throughout about 60,000m² of land, the construction for Hanwha Techwin’s subsidiary in Vietnam commenced in 2017 to expand its global business, and in early 2018, it launched its first mass production. <\/div>\n
“Friendly policy” by the Vietnamese government, flexible labor market, and various logistics channels for import and export through land and neighboring ports all make the province of Bac Ninh a perfect location to host Hanwha Techwin’s manufacturing subsidiary. The manufactured products are imported to many crucial regions such as the America, Europe and Asia, and the sales channels will soon expand globally. <\/div>\n
“Vietnam has recently become a popular investment destination and Hanwha Group boasts a thriving cooperation network with Vietnam. The country has indeed become a new land of opportunity, and Hanwha Group and Hanwha Techwin will continue to solidify the strong relationship with Vietnam through steady investment and cooperation” said President Kim Yeon-cheol of Hanwha Techwin. “Hanwha group is paying a great attention to our security business, which was attested by the recent visit by the Chairman. His visit provided a tremendous motivation for our employees in Vietnam” added President Kim. <\/div>\n
In 2018, Hanwha Techwin enjoyed a substantial growth by increasing sales in major countries in North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East, as well as winning large projects and solidifying the basis for advanced sales. <\/div>\n
“Hanwha Techwin showed great performance in 2018 even though the year was filled with many issues both in and outside the industry. The industry is paying a close attention to cybersecurity and deep learning based AI technology. Although deep learning based AI technologies need improvement, we need to continue our development effort since it can be applied widely. Also, security will become more crucial as deep learning based AI technology advances. We, at Hanwha Techwin, believe that providing reliable security is our destiny and responsibility.
