Hanwha Vision 米国の大手ホームデコレーションKirkland 店舗のセキュリティと運営改善のため映像セキュリティを強化 “ハンファビジョンの映像セキュリティソリューションにアップグレードしたことで、広い店舗を高画質映像でモニタリングできるのはもちろん、効率的な運用・管理も可能になりました。さらにWiseStreamIIにより、ネットワーク帯域の削減効果も実現しました。” – Saraya Charlton, Kirkland’s Loss Prevention Investigator ♦ Challenge グローバルなホームデコブランドであるKirkland’sは、米国全土に400店舗以上を展開する大手流通チェーンであり、家具やインテリア小物はもちろん、美術品まで多彩な商品を取り扱い、安定した人気を誇っています。 Kirkland’sは、常に顧客の安全と資産保護を最優先課題として店舗を運営しています。 Kirkland’sは、自社のセキュリティソリューションを評価し、既存店舗に設置されたアナログ映像セキュリティシステムを高度化するとともに、 新規店舗には最新の映像セキュリティシステムを導入することを決定しました。 特に、最新の映像セキュリティシステムは、ネットワークベースのセキュリティシステムを構築し、遠隔管理が容易であり、 店舗内での盗難や損失を防ぐための管理効率を向上させるだけでなく、店舗のセキュリティ強化という利点も享受しようとしました。 何よりも、Kirkland’sの経営陣は、ネットワーク帯域幅の使用量を最小限に抑えつつ、クリアで鮮明な映像データの確保を求めていました。 ♦ Solution Kirkland’sは、Hanwha Vision、パートナー企業であるSalientと、ネットワークベースの映像セキュリティソリューションを構築しました。 セキュリティアップグレードの第一段階では、200のKirkland’s店舗だけでなく、物流センターおよびeコマースビルにも、1,800台のハンファ Wisenet Xシリーズ XNV-6011 2メガピクセルHDドームカメラとWisenet Lite 耐衝撃ドームカメラを設置しました。 今後のビジネスの成長に伴い、新たにオープンする販売店舗にもこのソリューションが適用される予定、2021年までにKirkland’s全店舗の映像セキュリティソリューションをHanwha Visionの映像セキュリティソリューションへと切り替える計画です。 Kirkland’sの管理者であるサラヤ・チャールトン（Saraya Charlton）は、「Kirkland’sの各店舗の出入口や内部にHanwha Visionのカメラを設置し、そのおかげで広い店舗を死角なく精密にモニタリングできるようになった」と述べました。 ♦ Result 新たに構築した映像セキュリティソリューションにより、Kirkland’sは店舗運営の効率性を一層向上させることができました。ネットワークベースの統合管理システム（Video Management System）により、店舗内のすべてのカメラ映像を一目で確認でき、これにより、盗難や損失防止の管理がより容易になっただけでなく、アナログシステムで情報を一つ一つ検索し、確認する手間を省くことができました。 さらに、カメラに問題が発生した場合でも、Hanwha Visionのデバイスマネージャー（Device Manager）を通じて遠隔で問題を解決ができ、技術者の現場派遣に伴う時間とコストの削減が可能になりました。 チャールトン氏は、「Hanwha Visionの映像セキュリティソリューションにアップグレードしたことで、広い店舗を高画質映像でモニタリングできるだけでなく、効率的な運営と管理も可能になり、WiseStreamIIにより、ネットワーク帯域幅の削減効果も得ることができました。」と述べました。 WiseStreamIIは、Hanwha Visionが独自に開発した映像圧縮技術で、映像内の動きの度合いに応じて異なる圧縮率を適用し、映像品質と圧縮の最適なバランスを見つけて適用することで、最大75%まで帯域幅を削減することができます。
